Ingredients
-
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each, skin-on)
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
1/4 cup pure Canadian maple syrup
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
-
1 tsp lime zest
-
1 tbsp lime juice
-
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
-
Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh cilantro and lime wedges for garnish
Instructions
-
Prep the Marinade
In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic, ginger, lime zest, lime juice, and cayenne pepper. Set aside 2 tbsp of this glaze for finishing. -
Marinate the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. Place them in a shallow dish and pour the remaining glaze over top. Marinate for 15–20 minutes (no longer, or the citrus will begin to cook the fish). -
Sear in the Nutri-stahl Large Skillet
Heat olive oil in your Nutri-stahl Large Skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Sear for 3–4 minutes without moving them, allowing the skin to crisp. Flip carefully. -
Glaze and Cover
Pour in the reserved glaze, then cover with the skillet’s lid to trap the steam. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook another 3–4 minutes, until salmon is tender and glazed to a caramel-like finish. -
Finish and Serve
Transfer salmon to plates. Spoon the thickened glaze from the skillet over each fillet. Garnish with chopped cilantro and lime wedges.
